FRIENDS & FRIENDSHIP...

"You can always tell a friend, when you've made a fool of yourself,
they doesn't feel you've done a permanent job"
A lot of people go through life with only a few friends. It seems that some have less that that. They have no one on whom they can call in good times or bad. There is no one with whom to bounce ideas around, or to talk about deep and troubling subjects. They have no one to call in times of need or difficulty. They are at the mercy of life, standing alone.

Others seem to have multitude of friends. Wherever they go, people know them, and like to be around them. Should trouble strike, their biggest hesitation might be over which friend to call. They know exactly the person with whom to discuss the topics of inquiry and debate. Life is full of entertaining and invigorating relationships because it is full of friends.

There ought to be a course in school on friendship. Of course, some people are perfectly happy to operate with fewer friends. They might rather have a few deep and loyal friends, than many superficial ones. Others thrive best when friends are everywhere and numerous. It is not so much the number of friends that is important as is the possession of friends, period.

Friendship is a blessing, and a friend is the channel through whom great emotional, spiritual, and sometimes even physical blessing flow. Friends can cheer us when we're sorrowful or depressed. Friends can challenge us when we allow ourselves to get beyond our reasonable boundaries. Friends can motivate us when we're ready to give in, and they can provide for us when life falls apart. They are there when all is  well, and we want someone with whom to share life's pleasant and memorable moments. We often just want them around to have a good time, to laugh, to act silly, to enjoy some mutually liked activities. In how many ways have friends enriched our lives and made us feel loved, accepted, respected, and cared for? Probably, too many to list, and the list grows daily.

It is safe to say taht when ALLAH created the world and all the majestic things in it, when ALLAH streaked heavens with radiant color and the earth with grand mountains and awe-inspiring canyons, when ALLAH painted the plains with waving grasses and erected noble forests of towering trees, ALLAH did it all by creating friends. Why not take a moment or two and thank someone today for being a friend to you?
May ALLAH bless you with all the friends you need, and may ALLAH turns you into a blessing by using you as a friend to others.

Procrastination

Do you know that procrastination is a symptom of being a perfectionist? Most people are very suprised when they hear this. It is not laziness, but it is because the person wants everything to be perfect. Laziness is never doing anything, for the simple reason that they do not care about it. Procrastination is not doing something for fear of not doing it right.

What is Procrastination?
Procrastination is waiting until the last possible minute to do something. Usually this is something that very important, but not always. There are procrastinators in every walk of life. A student may procrastinate, waiting until the last possible moment to complete an assignment. A homemaker may procrastinate when they puts off doing the laundry until they has ten loads! A businessman may wait until the last possible minute to complete a presentation design. No matterwho the procrastinator is, the result is the same. By waiting so long to do these tasks, their stress level builds up and interferes with their happiness and sometimes their success..

Why people procrastinate?
Usually it is from uncertainty or lack of confidence. For example a bigterm paper is due, the procrastinator will worry about the paper endlessly for weeks. They will think about how to do it, and plan on a killer title and theme. After weeks go by go, a few days prior to the papers due date the paper is still unwritten. Why? Well this happens from a preoccupation with the person wanting to do a "perfect" job. These procrastination want everything to go smoothly. They want their paper to stand apart from the rest. Eventually they must actually write the paper. Yes the planning may have helped them, but when it is all said and done, the person would have felt much less stress iff they had just written it sooner.

We must remind ourselves that no one is perfect. If we were, we would be some alien species and not human. We have all heard the following quote " to error is human and to forgive divine". We must learn to accept our flaws and forgive ourselves

Information System

Information system is an academic or professional dicipline bridging the business field and the well-defined computer science field that is evolving toward a new scientific area of study. An information system dicipline therefore is supported by the theoretical foundations of information and computations such that learned scholars have unique opportunities to explore the academics of various business models as well as related algorithmic proceaaes within a computer science discipline. Typically, information systems or the more common legacy information information system include people, procedures, data, software and hardware that are used to gather and analyze digital information. Specifically, computer-based information systems are complementary networks of hardware or software that people and organization use to collect, filter, process, create, and distribute data (computing). Computer Information System is often a track within the computer science field studying computers and algorithmic processes, including their principles, their software and hardware designs, their applications, and their impact on society. Overall, an Information System discipline emphasizes functionality over design.

The history of information systems coincides with the history of computer science that began long before the modem discipline of computer science emerged in the twentieth century. Regarding the circulation of information and ideas, numerous legacy information systems still exist today that are continously update to promote ethnographic approaches, to ensure data integrity, and to improve the social effectiveness and efficiency of the whole process. In general, information systems are focused upon processing information within organizations, especially within business enterprises, and sharing the benefits with modern society.

Here are various types of information systems, for example transaction processing systems, office systems, decision support system, knowledge management systems, database management systems and office information systems. Critical to most information systems are information technologies, which are typically designed to enable humans to perform tasks for which the human brain is not well suited such as handling large amounts of information, performing complex calculations, and controlling many simultaneous processes.

Information technologies are a very important and malleable resource available to executive. Many companies have created a position of Chief Infoormation Officer (CIO) that sits on the executive board with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Technical Officer (CTO).

Information systems are implemented within an organization for the purpose of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of that organization. Capabilities of the information system and characteristics of the organization, its work systems, itts people, and its development and implemantation methodologies together determine the extent to which that purpose is achieved.

Manage your stress levels.

To deal with stress you first have to identified what the cause of that stress is, whether it is that colleague or some bills that have not been paid. Once you figure where the stress is coming from it becomes easier to deal with the issue.
  • be pysically active, it will help to control stress and will boost your heart health as well
  • Do not let stress at work follow you at home
  • Do not hold grudges and dwell on things that have little or no meaning
  • when you're stressed you tend to eat more so relax and try getting your stress under control
  • Do not forget to laugh, it lightens up the mood and will definitely help in bringing down your stress level
  • Try to be calmer while dealing with everyday tensions and stressful situations
  • Ask for help if you need it, do not try to handle things that are out of your reach
  • Take time out of your busy schedule to spent time with your family and friends it will make a huge difference and help you to stay happier in the long run
  • do not skip meals or over eat when under pressure, it will only make matters worse causing you to fall ill or gain weight.
  • Take a break from daily pressures, take a weekend vacation the travel will help you get your mind off work and help you relax a little bit.
  • Control your anger
  • Spend quality time with your spouses, children, and parents.
  • Be emotinally stronger do not let small things affect you more than they should

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT

In recent years, a dramatic change in the world economy
and the use of IT have affected the way businesses and
organizations operate. One of the changes is the
shift from a resource-based view of competitive
advantage for example capital, labour, and raw
material to a knowledge-based competitive advantage through
Knowledge Management (KM). This increased enthusiasm on
KM is a result of cost reduction in data management,
due to the rise of computing capabilities like the
Internet, electronic networking, and local database.
This also means an increase in an organization's
feasibility on acquiring,documenting, processing,
and distributing data and informationglobally.
The adoption of KM by businesses and organizations has
initiated the interests of researchers and academicians. Many
issues are being examined and studied, such as KM structure,
knowledge diffusion, KM implementation, KM performance
framework, and HRM strategy in KM. The earlier stages
of these studies tend to associate KM with information
technology, which was perceived as the main driver
for KM. However, technology is not the only requirement
of KM. What is more important is the knowledge
created by human beings. This view is also supported by
other researchers and academicians such as Mintzberg(1989).

Knowledge can be defined in many ways. A comprehensive
definition of knowledge is a fluid mix of framed
experience, values, contextual information, and expert insight
that provides a framework for evaluating and incorporating new
experience and information. It originates and is applied in the
mind of knowers. In organizations, it often becomes embedded
not only in documents or repositories, but also in
organizational routines, processes, practices, and norms.
